    Liquid Audio, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQID), a leading provider of software and services for the Internet delivery of music, today announced it has been selected by Warner Bros. Records, Inc. for a special promotion of the Reprise soundtrack to the hit film "Magnolia," featuring the songs of Aimee Mann. Beginning Monday February 14th, anyone who purchases the Magnolia soundtrack online or in participating retail stores will be able to access a private Web site address to download "Nothing Is Good Enough." The download is a vocal version of the track that is heard as an instrumental-only song on the soundtrack. Currently, the soundtrack is at number 72 on The Billboard 200 chart.

    Regardless of where and how fans purchase the CD -- via traditional brick and mortar stores or through online retailers -- they can acquire this new track which is unavailable anywhere else through Liquid Audio. Using a special Web address and password, each participating consumer can access a one-time-only free download. 
    "Some of our customers have felt left out of the world of exclusive online promotions and downloads, but this campaign empowers all of them to embrace Internet technology," said Andre Knecht, director of National Sales for Warner Bros. Records, Inc. "The entire retail community, as defined as broadly as possible, can be involved in this promotion."

Using our Liquid Player software, fans can access CD-quality music -- complete with lyrics and liner notes -- from the hundreds of retail Web sites in our distribution network." 
    For consumers who purchased the CD before the actual kick off of the promotion, participating retail stores will accept cash register receipts as proof of purchase beginning February 15th. Consumers who bought the CD online simply need to contact the retailer via email to access the download via the Web site and password.
